Full course description

This course provides a comprehensive overview of combined fertilizer and pesticide products. You will learn about the required licenses, application techniques, and important local ordinances to promote healthy lawns while minimizing negative impacts on water quality and local ecosystems. 

This course consists of three short videos and a course test. You must score at least 75% on the course test to earn your certificate of completion and continuing education credit. Infromation about how to view and print your certificate of completion will be available after you've passes the course test and submitted the course survey.

The topics covered throughout this course are:

  • What is a combination product? 
  • What license(s) and certification(s) do I need to apply combination products in Florida? 
  • What fertilizers work best for my lawn? 
  • What pesticides work best for my lawn? 
  • What is the proper way to handle pesticides and combination products to keep myself, others, and the environment safe? 
  • What are the environmental considerations when applying combination products? 
  • In what situations is applying combination products not appropriate? 

 

  • Why it is important to use the FFL Fertilizer App to know the local ordinances of where the combination product will be applied.
